Hello everyone!
Today I would like to share with you some pictures and my experience from the beautiful Island of Krk in Croatia. I have already visited Croatia twice. The first time I went there was to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2017 in Zagreb and the second time to have some calm holiday on the island of Krk in August this year. Of course, the capital of Croatia – Zagreb needs to have an extra post just for itself and today I will concentrate only on the Island of Krk.

I bet many of you have already visited Croatia, as for people from Europe and above all, from Germany, it is at the top of summer goals. Croatia ranked among the top 20 most popular tourist destinations in the world.

I think it is because Croatia is a nice aim for someone who love beaches and for nature lovers. Besides it can be interesting for families and for love couples at every age. Someone who is fascinated about history also has a good reason to visit this nice country.

Like I previously wrote, Croatia have many attractions for everyone. You just need to know what you want to experience and what your expectation are and choose a good place in Croatia to enjoy your holiday.

It is also important to choose a good time to travel there, as many people are on the road in the main season and the traffic jam is enormous.

What you can do and see on the Island of Krk:
Krk is a largest Croatian Island and the most populous in the Adriatic Sea.
- The main settlement on this Island is the ancient town Krk. It is located on the southwest coast of the island and being among the oldest in the Adriatic Sea.

- Another popular settlement is the village of Baška located on the south east of the island of Krk. It is a popular resort with many huge hotels and several surrounded beaches, but also with old stone houses, narrow streets and some historical churches and chapels.

- If you like hiking and you are a nature lover, you will love Krk for its beautiful landscape and caldera views, just waiting to get explored.

- And if you are a water loving type you have many possibilities to enjoy the sea passively or actively. You can lay on one of the numerous beaches with attraction for tourists or discover some calm and wild one on your own. You can dive or do some snorkelling or if you have a licence, you can rent a boot.

Like you see the island of Krk has many opportunities and it’s all accompanied with good food and wine. Another upside of visiting Croatia are the relatively low prices and the friendly people.
